November 5th, 2006. Flooded waters cover a road.
Sunday, November 5, 2006
Floodwater spilled over Western Washington following days of severe rain. Six rivers were at record water heights. Roads were under so much water that salmon were photographed swimming across Highway 101. Mud and rockslides blocked several highways and an Amtrak train. Over 200 hunters were evacuated from a camp that had been cut off by water. But one of them, a 20 year-old man, was killed when his truck was swept into a river.
