RJ plans on attending college to study Bussiness and Public Administration. He will move on to law school to complete his Juric Doctor.

During his time on the national YPC, RJ would like to expand the FEMA Region IX Youth Emergency Preparedness Program (YEPP) to the national level. The YEPP is a four-day program including speakers, hands-on scenarios, and training that provides a unique take on disaster preparedness by involving students in the decision making process that occurs in an Emergency Operations Center during a disaster. The goal of the program is to educate youth on emergency preparedness and all hazardous events, such as earthquakes, floods, droughts, fires, terrorism, and other relevant disasters.
